Anastsia x Master Palette by Mario

Hi my loves, in all complete honesty it feels amazing to be back!!! I've missed blogging so much ):
I have bought so many new goodies this month so of course be on the lookout for new blog posts!!

Now Lets Get into Business;

     So as many of you know, one of the newest releases from Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) has been the long awaited Master Palette by Mario. When I first heard that Mario had worked with ABH to create an eyeshadow palette I was so excited, because if you have been following Mario(@makeupbymario) you know that he is incredibly talented, so of course I couldn't wait for its release. Let me just say that I stood in an hour line to get this, and ugh... it just wasn't worth it at all.
I had super high hopes for this baby mainly because it was from ABH who usually knock it out of the park every single time, but this time unfortunately I am incredibly disappointed and from the reviews I have read about it, many people aren't impressed either.

   
     When it comes to eyeshadows sometimes you're going to get some fallout and that's OK, but I get a TON of fallout with every single shade in this palette which isn't a killer deal for me, its easy to remove, but it's frustrating. The pigmentation when swatched on your hands is beautiful, but as your applying them onto your eyes, you have to build up the color, and its happened to me where I'm applying a shade and as I try to build up the color, the color starts to look chalky and patchy, it's so weird, it's almost like as I'm applying more product, I'm removing product from underneath. 
To get a good eye look from using this palette alone definitely takes a bit of time, and patience more than anything. 

     Now let me give you some basic information about this palette. The Master Palette is available at your local Sephora and Sephora.com, I'll of course have direct link right under this post! This palette retails for $45.00, and it is limited edition. The Mario Palette contains 12 neutral and jewel toned shades ranging from mattes to metallic finishes,as stated at the back of the box. The palette is  absolutely stunning, you can definitely get some good color variations, but it's just personally not my favorite eyeshadow formula, in other words, I don't think this palette is worth it, save your money.

Im BACKKKKKK!!!

I am so sorry for being away for so long, some personal things have been going on and I just honestly I haven't had the energy nor the motivation lately, and for that, I am truly sorry.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

Hey Loves! 

So have you been thinking of what perfume you want to get next? You always end up Macy's, Sephora, maybe even Ulta, well anywhere where they have perfume samples? Have you stopped by and smelt Flowerbomb by any chance? If you have, have you felt yourself fantasizing about how wonderful the fragrance is ? 

I wanted to do this review for those of you contemplating weather you want to splurge and get yourself a little something, and for those of you that are just wondering what this fragrance is all about and if its worth the money.
I am here to tell you that Flowerbomb is WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY.  I absolutely adore this perfume! The few months that I have had it, it has become a definite staple in my collection. Is it just me or do you just love when people come up to you and asks you what perfume your wearing? I have been reaching for this baby every single day and sadly I have already used quite a bit of my bottle. 
Now, let's talk details about Flowerbomb;
I was doing some research on Macys.com to make sure I was giving you guys the right information.
According to Macys.com, the notes on this fragrance are as follows:

• Top Notes: Bergamot, Tea, Osmanthus
• Middle Notes: Jasmine, African Orange Flower, Freesia, Orchid, Rose
• Base Notes: Musk, Patchouli

The product description on the Macy's site says Flowerbomb, "gives you a floral explosion that has the power to make everything seem so positive." 
When I smell the fragrance I can smell the patchouli, musk, jasmine, and bergamont. Those I feel stands out when your first smell it. The best way I could describe the smell is a combination of vanilla, and jasmine. This scent is extremely musky, so if you are not into really deep, spicy, rich, and manly smells you might not like this as much. The best thing about this baby is that you need the smallest amount (3 sprays at the most) and it lasts all day on your skin, even when your body warms up the product it smells beautifully.

Nivea Men Post Shave Blam

 

Hi Babies;
    So I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews about the Nivea Men's Post Shave Balm for sensitive skin, so of course I wanted to go ahead and pick up, and let you guys know what I think about it.

    Now, this shaving balm is said to work as a primer,  which is used before applying your foundation, which is kind of weird. I mean who would think that a shaving balm could work as a primer?

I've been trying it out for a few weeks now, so I could actually give you my exact thoughts.  
    The shave balm comes in a huge 3.3 FL.OZ glass bottle which is awesome! The Balm has kind of a siliconey and watery feel to it, the smell is very musky, of course it a men's balm, but the smell is very subtle not to intense, which all comes down to personal preference.
    When applying this balm, I first of course apply my moisturizer, and then I apply a pea size amount of the balm onto my hands and start warming the product up then I apply it onto my face making sure that I am massaging it throughout my entire face including my neck, until it begins to feel tacky.  
   As soon is it starts to get tacky , I start applying my foundation. I never thought that I would love this as much as I do! It works incredibly with my skin. By the way I have dry to combo skin just in case anybody was wondering.
   You want to make sure that you are applying your foundation once the balm becomes tacky, that way your foundation has something to adhere to. 

My thoughts: 

First of all, the reason why this works so well is because it contains glycerin, which is basically a glue. That's why you want to wait until the balm gets sticky, that way your foundation adheres onto your skin. 

I love this balm as a primer, I apply it in the morning and it lasts all day. My foundation melts right onto my skin, my entire makeup in general just glides on. Through out the day this "primer" doesn't make my makeup rub off, or glide off, it really just locks the makeup in. It's amazing!

Top 3 Highlighters!

I frequently get asked a lot about my highlights, so I've decided to share my absolute favorite gold highlighters!!! 

1. Rockin' World:

   This highlighter is from Makeup Revolution. This is a beautiful bronzy golden highlight, also makes a beautiful crease color. Extremely pigmented,  and very affordable.  $6 at Ulta               

2. Hula Hula:

   This highlighter is from Hard Candy Cosmetics. I have recently purchased this highlighter, and I have fallen completely in love. Hula Hula is a lot like Rockin World, the only difference being that one is just a tad bit more bronzy. This is very pigmented and a little goes a long way! Spritz a little MAC Fix + for a much intens

 3. Guided Honey:

    This highlighter is from Laura Geller,  it took me months to finally get my hands on this bad boy, but it was so worth it. This is your typical champagne golden highlight, it's absolutely stunning. I absolutely love spritzing a little bit of Mac Fix + to the brush, because not only does it give you a much more bam in your face kind of highlight, but it also has a less powdery look when applied. This was a bit pricey, but so worth it. $26 at Ulta

Dark Eyes and Bold Lip Tutorial

So, since I have received a lot of compliments about this look, I have decided to do a detailed tutorial for you… 

Let's Get Started; (:

Moisturizer:
To begin, you are going to want to moisturize your face before adding any product because it adds the needed hydration and moisture that your face needs. The moisturizer I use is the Neutrogena Hydro Blast.

Eyebrows:
First, I take a Spoolie and brush my brow hair in an upwards motion. Then, I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) eyebrow pencil in the color Soft Brown.

I then start outlining the premises of the brow beginning from the side closest to my nose and end the process by dragging the pencil, making sure to elongate the tail.

Then, I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in the color Soft Brown and to apply I use the ABH double ended brush. To finish off, I use the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Soft Brown to set the hairs in place.

Eyes:
You want to start off by priming your eyelids with an eye shadow base.
Set your eye shadow base with an eye shadow that is the closest shade to your skin color.

Using a fluffy blending brush, blend Milani’s Bella Cafe into the crease using this as your transitional shade.

Next, taking the same fluffy brush, apply the Chocolate Brown shade from the Sonia Kashuk Matte Eye Shadow Palette to add more definition to your crease.

Take a more dense fluffy brush (Mac #217) and add the darkest brown from the Palette onto the outer “V” of your eye and pulling the color down onto your lower lash line.

Using the same fluffy brush, take Milani’s Bella Cafe and blend all of the dark colors together making sure that there are no harsh lines and has a flawless, gradient effect.

Taking NYX Cosmetics Jumbo Eye Crayon in the color Black Bean, apply this as an eye shadow base all over your lids. By adding the black, this is going to make sure that the next shadow that will be added on top is as bright as possible.

Taking the color Nutty Nutmeg from Wet & Wild, take a dense flat shade brush and add the color all over your lid.

Now, take the previous fluffy brush and add the darkest shade from the Palette and apply a little more to the crease. Due to so much previous blending, color may wear/ come off.

Finally, take Urban Decay eye shadow in the color Venus and add the color to your brow bone.

Now, take ELF’s eye shadow pigment in the color Angelic and a small pencil brush. Spray Mac Fix + onto the brush, dip it into the pigment and add to inner tear duct.

Eyeliner:
I used the NYC liquid liner in black to create a winged liner and applied Urban Decay 24/7 black liner onto the waterline.

Mascara:
Better than Sex from TooFaced cosmetics

Lashes:
Ardell Demi Whispies , and Duo Lash Glue

Face:
I started off the face by spraying some MAC FIX + all over the face to help prep the face for the foundation I am about to apply.

Next, I used the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Dewy in the color 220 and applied that all over my face using a damp Beauty Blender.

I then used the Maybelline Better Skin concealer in the shade medium and applied that right underneath my eyes to make sure that I am covering the darkness in which the foundation didn’t cover. Blend using Beauty Blender.

Using the Mac Prep and Prime Concealer pen in the color Light Boost, I created a small triangle from the bottom of my eye to the nose and towards the temples of my face, blend that using the Beauty Blender.

Using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette, use the banana shade and set all of the concealer you just applied.

Using a defined contour brush I used the NYX Cosmetics blush in the color Taupe as a contour shade. Use this color to define your cheekbones, drag color up onto your temples, down to the sides of your neck. To create a more bronzy, goddess look, I applied NYC bronzer in Fire Island Bronze to add a soft glow.

Now this is my favorite part. The HIGHLIGHT!  I always add about two or three layers of highlight, depending on the look.

First layer of highlight, I used the ELF’s blush brush and wet the brush using some FIX + and dipped the brush into ELF’S Pinktastic blush which gives you a beautiful icy pinky highlight. It’s stunning, and by adding the FIX + it will become more intense.

Second layer of highlight I used  BH Cosmetics fan brush and dipped it into the Ofra’s Cosmetics loose powder highlight in the color Pink Sapphire, which is mainly glitter but adds a gorgeous sheen to the other layer of highlight.

Finish off the face by spritzing a little more of FIX + to set your makeup.
Lips:
I first used a lip scrubber to help get my lips prepped for the matte lip stick I was going to apply.

Then I used MAC’s Cherry lip liner to briefly outline the outer portions of my lips

I lastly applied NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in the color Morocco. 

Colourpop Cosmetics

Hey my beauties! I'm finally back. I know, I've been gone for a while, but I'm back and I'm here to stay!!!! 

I wanted to do a Colourpop Cosmetics review for quite sometime now, since I feel like I'm the last one to jump on the bandwagon. I have finally purchased some items off the Colourpop website. 

I decided to try out a few of their products to give you a thorough and honest review. I must say I LOVE Colourpop, I can't believe I have waited for this long to discover these babies. 

Colourpop Super Shock Shadows and Pigments:

These eyeshadows have a some what of a moosey consistancy that totally feels like heaven.

Metallics and Ultra Metallics

Tie Dye

      

Game Face: 

This has to be one of my absolute favorites. Of course, I usually tend to go towards the browns, and golds. On the site this color is described as an intense penny copper in a ultra metallic finish. This eyeshadow is so vibrant, and so beautiful. When i swatched the color for the first time I was so surprised at how smooth and creamy this color was, normally when you swatch such an intense color usually the glitter chunks are kind of rough and pull on this skin, but this is completely the opposite, it's almost like it melts onto the skin. Best applied using finger for more intensity, and or using a stippling brush.

    

Drift:
This gorgeous deep brown red is definitely a must in your collection. This is once again such a smooth color that it makes it easy to apply. This color would be a lot more intense if you added some makeup setting spray to your brush before applying. On the site, Drift was described as a true cranberry red in a pearlized finish. This color I think would be essential for the holidays, and just for those days when you feel like adding a little pop of color. Drift is very build able, first swatch is not to intense, but as you keep adding product the intensity grows. Best applied with finger for more intensity, or using a stippling brush. 

  

Nillionaire:

If you are into browns and very natural colors, then this is a must have for you. Out of the other two this color is the one with the most glitter, and the most sparkle. This color is one of those that just shines in the sun. It's so natural, but gives you just the right amount of va va voom, and makes you feel so glam. This is one that I have been hearing so many wonderful reviews and let me just say that it does live up to its talk. On the website this color is described as a warm bronze with gold and multi colored glitter in a metallic finish. Nillionaire makes you feel like a billionaire with its super creamy formula, and super shiny finish. Best applied using finger for a more intensity, and or using a stippling brush.

I would definitely recommend trying out some of Colourpop's goodies. They are well worth the price, and not only that but they are so incredibly affordable.  Down below I will list all of the prices according to exact category.
